The Pool

The Pool project was conceived out of the Private Sector, in collaboration with K2, Avison Young, ARUP and Apple Corps and in partnership with the Public Sector, recognising the need to create a unique and transformational project that reaches far beyond Liverpool’s own cultural heritage.

Securing £2m of funding from Central Government (2021 Budget), this £500M transformative investment in the heart of the city centre will create a world-class cultural and visitor destination, acting as a catalyst for economic, social and environmental change.

The Pool will be distinctly Liverpool, a destination, a meeting place, and a home to celebrate the creativity of its people. It is about empowering a city of music makers with personal connections to Liverpool’s rich musical heritage. It will Inspire the next generation, breaking down barriers and bringing people together in a musical playground where creativity thrives, through diversity and inclusivity, a vessel for experimentation and exploring the future. The Pool will be culturally resilient, environmentally and financially sustainable; an example to the world.
