A bold new approach to urban living on Liverpool’s riverside demonstrates how the city can lead the way in the urban design of waterfront cities.
Festival Gardens

The brief given to K2 by the City Council was to generate ideas for a masterplan transforming the site into an internationally recognisable high-quality waterfront community, with strong neighbourhood connections and first-class leisure facilities.

The response is a reflection of the city’s emerging status as a European leisure destination. It is bold, confident, and ambitious in its expression of character, drawing inspiration from emerging concepts in suburban living from across the globe case and imagines how to integrate them with the community of South Liverpool.

Festival Park Liverpool has the potential to be one of the UK’s great new city suburbs of the 21st century. This masterplan sets out the ambition to position the site as a world leader as a place to live and visit and we’re highly encouraged by the interest already being shown by developers
